Pembrokeshire’s main holiday resort Tenby is blessed with four sandy environmental award-winning beaches, where three of them are separated by the Tenby castle.

South Beach has views over Caldey Island and is backed by sand dunes. The less commercialized South Beach has won a Tidy Britain Group Seaside Award and is more than a mile long.

North Beach which is the most popular of Tenby beaches is situated between the harbour beach and the north cliffs. There is the iconic Goscar Rock in the centre of the beach which is photographed a lot. This beach is well sheltered by the cliffs as well as the famous wall that encircles the town.

Castle Beach is located in the cove between Castle Hill and the East Cliff with a view to St. Catherine’s island. At low tides, St. Catherine’s island is accessible on foot. This beach is one of the favourites for watersports activities and also offering boat trips.

Harbour Beach is home to the Sailing Club and the Fishermen’s Chapel and it’s nestled on the back of Harbour Bay. It’s the smallest of Tenby beaches but boasts plenty of charm.

Restrictions for dogs on the beach do apply from May to October on North Beach and Harbour Beach, but the South Beach is dog-friendly all year round.
